You’ll pass the bussing border, visit an extinct crater, barter around a huge market, peer into an active volcano and visit a charming colonial city.

A must see. The day includes a scenic drive which shows you the true beauty of Costa Rica. A beautiful hike through the rainforest followed by lunch. Then rest your mind and body in the rejuvenating hot springs. Once the sunsets head out to watch lava running down the side of the active volcano. If you are quiet you can actually hear it!

Rincon De La Vieja National Park
Duration: 8 Hours
One of the best hikes in the area. Great trails lead you on an adventure. The variety of fauna and flora is incredible. You are reminded that you are trekking around a volcano as you pass by various boiling mud pools and fumaroles. Not to mention the chance to spot 3 species of monkeys, birds, snakes, lizards, peccaries and the elusive tapir! If you are up for a challenge you can hike up to the crater. (Difficult Hike)

Rio Celeste - Tenorio National Park
Duration: Full Day
Locals say that after God finished painting the sky, the brushes were washed in Rio Celeste. This is a moderate hike through the rainforest. As you descend you will see the breathtaking Rio Celeste Waterfall and visit the natural hot springs. Come see it before everyone else finds out about it!

Liberia & Shopping Tour

For those seeking an extra dose of adrenaline! After a safety meeting you will head up to the starting point of a thrilling 2.5 hours trip on the Upper Tenorio River. This trip involves a 12 foot drop (Class V). However, due to the river’s topography this can be avoided if desired.
